But if you have a one of these stoves, you’ve likely noticed that even the smallest spill or splatter shows up and can seem much more noticeable. Have you ever wondered the best way to clean your glass cooktop? Glass top stoves can be really difficult to clean when food gets splattered all over it. Baking soda, not to be confused with baking powder, is one of the best home made cleaning DIY tools you can possibly use and cheap too! In this video I’m going to show you the best way to do this using baking soda. So to Cleaning Glass Cooktop with this natural cleaner you are going to need - Bowl of hot water Liquid dish soap – I would recommend palmolive because its thick Baking Soda A Cleaning Rag Plastic cleaning gloves (This will help protect your skin) So this is the method to use 1 First, you fill a bowl with hot tap water water and mix it with some dish soap. Submerge the rag in the bowl and get it wet. 2 Apply baking soda in a generous amount all over the affected area. Baking soda does come in a convenient shaker if needed. 3 Now pull out that hot soapy rag out of the bowl and squeeze half the water out. You want it to be soggy, not sopping. The lay the rag over the covered glass worktop which has baking soda sprinkled on. Then wait about 15 minutes… 4 Once the time is up, swirl the rag around in circles, using the baking soda paste as a gentle scrub. After a while all the stains and burnt dried food will come off. 5 The dry up the surface and shine it up with a cloth. Good as new!! To achieve the best results ……. You may have to repeat these steps once more. You may also leave the rag on for longer, depending on how bad it is. Finally you can also get the glass surface to sparkle & shine by spritzing the surface with a little bit of water vinegar, and then wiping clean.
